Teresa woke up before everyone as usual, well before dawn to cook up breakfast, eggs and oatmeal - good job.
The weather much cooler today, I’m sure its going to be a more enjoyable run for the lads.
As the much tighter morning routine kicked off through 11 pairs of bleary eyes, Teresa and I packed up the remants and set off for our daily XX mile drive, my turn today.
We stopped off at our regular destination, a Kroger store for the evening meal’s ingredients - made much better due to the generosity of sponsorship gift vouchers. Next RV maintenance and admin is getting easier, however not so much the waste water … eewww!
The sports injury treatments for the runners are providing them with much needed lactic acid, minor adhesion removal and some well deserved relaxation time … although applying deep tissue massage using a stripping action on the calf muscles puts pay to that. Not wanting to jinx the situation, apart from Jamie’s trip to the dentist, they are all on top form.
We were going to stay overnight in a Walmart car park when the Monticello National Guard Armoury took pity on us and allowed us to use their facilities and stay in more private surroundings.
You can’t beat the amazing hospitality of the American people especially to give up their Sunday evening just to enable us all to have a shower, very heart warming stuff.
Night, night
