Hi fellow Gump fans… We have had an incredibly hectic and extremely tiring few days! We have reached the halfway point, 1765 miles and we are currently situated just South of Oklahoma City… A fairly massive electrical storm has just rolled in and this is the first rain that we have seen for quite literally weeks.
I intend to do a much more comprehensive blog after I have attempted to complete my own personal challenge which will take place on the 13th October, Day 34… It is the longest day in terms of mileage, almost 86 miles in length. My intention is to complete the days mileage on my own. Watch this space.
Today saw Mark run a mile with Bill Dunham, a former US Ranger and a single leg amputee… It was the first time that Bill had run for 21 years. It was an extremely emotional and inspiring sight. Bill, this was awesome and you should be very proud.
For now guys I sign off asking you all to stay tuned, keep spreading the word and donate whenever you can…. Your pounds/dollars, no matter how few, collectively can make a very real difference. Thank You on behalf of all of the team, Damian. Team Leader
